Vietnams Bonsai

In a country ravaged by war there are still quite a few sights of interests for a casual tourist here – its Beaches, the Marble Mountains, the Cham Museum and some religious shrines. And then there is a spectacle likely to arouse the interests of a plant lover; Bonsai, the Japanese art form of growing miniature trees in containers

Bonsai in Vietnam are seen anywhere and everywhere and you may not even have to spend a penny for it or need the Services of a guide. From mansions to slums, on balconies, in temples and shops, even on the backs of motorbikes you see them everywhere. Big, old and magnificent and grown in different forms and techniques, they come in different ages and sizes. You can only admire the care and attention they must have received from their owners and the efforts needed for such creations with years and years of toil in different climates, regular watering and fertilizing and pruning. Sad part though is you may not be allowed to carry one back with you due to travel restrictions.
